Aladdin is a lawyer practicing in association with WRD LLP. He is building a broad practice around business law and sustainability.
Aladdin received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law and completed his articles at the Toronto office of a large national business law firm. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2020 and worked as a sole practitioner and sustainability consultant before joining forces with the sustainable business lawyers at WRD LLP.
Aladdin’s legal practice is enriched by his strong background in climate and sustainability. He is an effective partner for clients seeking to manage sustainability-related risks, opportunities, and impacts through business and legal strategy, regardless of where they are on their sustainability journey.
Aladdin holds the FSA Credential from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB FSA) and the Sustainability & Climate Risk Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP SCR). He also holds a Master of Arts in Global Environmental Governance from the Balsillie School of International Affairs, where he was awarded a Junior Fellowship with the Centre for International Governance Innovation. He received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from York University’s Glendon College, where he was the top graduating student in Political Science.
Outside of his legal practice, Aladdin volunteers as a wellness-focused mentor and coach to law students and other professionals, as an organizer with Lawyers for Climate Justice, and as a Board Director with the circular economy non-profit Impact Zero.
