Aladdin serves as the Board Chair of Impact Zero, a Toronto-based non-profit building circular economy solutions through a business accelerator, podcast & other programs.
Aladdin is also an organizer & founding director of Lawyers for Climate Justice, helping to engage Canadian lawyers, law societies & bar associations around global heating’s implications for the practice of law.
Passionate about systems thinking, futures thinking & overlapping crises, Aladdin also contributes to the Suntory Foundation’s Reexamining Japan in Global Context Project. The project convenes Japanese & other experts to discuss complex challenges like energy scarcity, demographic aging & post-disaster recovery.

Education & Awards
Aladdin received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law & articled at the Toronto office of a large national business law firm.
Aladdin holds a Master of Arts in Global Governance from the Balsillie School of International Affairs, where he was awarded a Junior Fellowship with the Centre for International Governance Innovation & a SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship. Aladdin’s Masters studies focused on converging crises, with a particular focus on environmental change, global security & the governance of geoengineering technologies.
Aladdin received a Specialized Honours B.A. from York University’s bilingual Glendon College, where he was the top graduating student in Political Science.
